We're a tiny team, and we rely on people like you to help spread the word. Every talat customer gets a personal referral code to share with friends and colleagues. Your friends get 10% off, and after 3 people buy with your code, we'll pay you back your full license fee.

## How it works

### Three steps.

- **Buy talat** - A few minutes after you purchase, we'll send you an email with your personal referral code (it looks like TALAT-XXXXXX) and a shareable link.
- **Share it with people you think would find it useful** - Send your code or link to friends and colleagues. When they use it at checkout, they get 10% off. Each code is valid for 30 days from when you receive it.
- **Get your money back** - After 3 friends buy with your code, we'll pay you back your full license fee. Not a coupon; actual money.

### Things people ask.

- **Where do I find my code?**  
We'll email it to you about 24 hours after you buy talat. If you can't find it, check your spam folder or drop us a line at nick@talat.app.
- **How do I share it?**  
However you like. Send the code directly, or share your personal link (talat.app/buy?ref=YOUR-CODE) and the discount gets applied automatically at checkout.
- **Does my code expire?**  
Yes, each code is valid for 30 days from when you receive it. The exact expiry date is in your welcome email.
- **When do I get paid?**  
Once 3 people have bought talat using your code, we'll pay you back your full license fee. It won't be instant - we hold payouts for about four months to make sure none of the qualifying purchases get refunded or disputed (we're a tiny team and can't afford to pay out money we might have to give back). Four months is a while, but by then you'll have forgotten about it entirely and it'll land like finding a tenner in your coat pocket.
- **I'm an influencer or content creator**  
This scheme is for individual users sharing with friends. If you have an audience, check out our [affiliate programme](/content/affiliates/index.html) instead, which offers 30% commission per sale.
