talat notifies you when it does something you might want to know about: a recording started, a summary finished, an update is ready. Every type can be turned on or off individually, or you can silence the whole app at once.

## Master toggle

_Settings → Notifications → Show notifications_ turns every notification on or off. When off, nothing from talat surfaces in the system notification area.

## Notification types

- **Recording started.** Fires when talat detects a call and starts recording.
- **Summary ready.** Fires when your summary and action items are ready to review.
- **Update available.** Fires when a new version of talat is ready to install.
- **Update installed.** Fires after talat updates and restarts.
- **Call in progress.** Fires when talat launches while a call is already active, offering to start recording.

## During recordings

_Suppress non-essential notifications_ silences summaries, updates, and other non-recording notifications while a recording is in flight. Recording-started notifications still appear so you always know when talat has begun recording.

## Auto-dismiss

How long notifications stay on screen before disappearing. Pick from 3, 5, 8, 10, or 15 seconds.
